Age in whole years is today's date minus the birth year, adjusted down by one if this year's birthday hasn't happened yet. Months and days are found the same way, working through the remaining months since the last birthday. Total days lived is simply the number of calendar days between the birth date and today, which is why it can look larger than expected — a 30-year-old has lived roughly eleven thousand days.
